Was surprised how quickly I got the surface layer to fade in and out, revealing those precious minerals below…

First time I’ve found a need to write a recursive function since I left university. Oh how bland my day job was (I’m starting a new one tomorrow in the games industry… hopefully I’ll find uses for those pretty little things).

I wonder if there’s a mod in MineCraft for this? If not, I’m tempted to create one after this.

Anyway, not long to go now! Time to actually make it a game…
