I am taking a weekend away from working on Alien:Isolation to get stuck into another Ludum Dare! 😀

Carefully planning this game jam and have decided upon a few rules and since the last LD48 and I am going to share them here.

Also adding Garage Band as my music creator. I used it a few times since last LD48 and at the Global Game Jam with Team Twoolley.

My last LD48 was snatched from the jaws of defeat. After losing nearly everything I had about an hour before the deadline, I gave up. The next evening I planned to put it back together slowly over a few nights and ended up doing it quicker than I thought, making the entry for the 72 hour deadline with minutes to spare. This has given me an idea.

I am going to set an hourly alarm… each hour I will take a couple of minutes to save my project under a new name, write a post giving an update and then get back to it. This should help with the following

1. It will force me to write more posts

2. It will avoid the issues I had with game maker last time by creating new projects

3. It will give me a stronger understanding of the time I am taking on each task

I have also moved house since the last LD48 so this will be the first game jam with my new setup in a new place. (new photos!)

So, all prepped and ready to go. Got a good feeling about this one and it will be nice to get my head down again, put my body through the lack of sleep, complete creative out pour, and then last minute panic.
