I’m in!
I’ve been able to take part of all compos since my first one (LD#22), and I won’t make this my first miss! That said, my tools won’t be changing all that much…
- Language+Frameword: as3+Flixel
- GFX: GIMP
- SFX: sfxr
- Music: VMML (new)
- Level editor: My own level editor (link)
- Timelapse: Chronolapse
I’ve also got a new battle station, so I won’t have problems running many programs at once. I still have to get a new webcam, though, since I had been using the notebook’s one… I’m also thinking about posting a Flixel plugin I’ve written for recording a few frames from the screen to a data file and a C program I wrote to read that and write bitmaps. This is great to get footage from within the game! (I could simply record, but I didn’t find one tool to my liking…)
Last time I focused on creating a fun and good looking game. Now, I want to make something more innovative (that means, no more platformers or shooters) and making a better using of the theme. That said, I refuse to drop the current quality of my games (though I must admit that the playability is tunned for myself =X), so I’ll have to find a way around that… Using a whole day for polishing (and level creation) may be overkill, but it really pays off…
I’ll get back soon with whatever I want to use during the compo. Until then and good luck for everyone!!
Also, don’t forget to HAVE FUN!!
