( though I only managed to include the first level )<\/li>\n <li>Created all graphics from scratch during competition<\/li>\n <li>Audio created by Aart for the Menu, Level, and game outcome sounds fantastic (imp)<\/li>\n <li>Overall look of the Game<\/li>\n <li>Everything to complete the first level works<\/li>\n <li>Game engine is easy to include additional content and capabilities<\/li>\n <li>Released game can be played without having internet ( only 2 HTML files, and some media)<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p><strong>What went wrong:<\/strong><\/p>\n <blockquote><p>Time Management &amp; Expectations<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <ul>\n <li>Spent too much time testing software tools during competition time<\/li>\n <li>Lost a lot of time trying &#8220;new&#8221; ways of reinventing the wheel<\/li>\n <li>Ended up using 1 JavaScript file I had created pre-competition<\/li>\n <li>Ran out of time to test final game on other web browsers<\/li>\n <li>Tried to include way to much from the beginning ( forgot the <a title=\"KISS Principle (en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/KISS_principle)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=1&amp;cad=rja&amp;ved=0CCkQFjAA&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FKISS_principle&amp;ei=xbULU-fsCtLesASZmoLoAw&amp;usg=AFQjCNFK76mFqZveAudndAdNTXeH8Jo4MQ&amp;sig2=j9vSPmyIGZpfOCX-LOytHA&amp;bvm=bv.61725948,d.cWc\" target=\"_blank\">KISS principle<\/a> )<\/li>\n <li>Did not include a description of how to play the game<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p><strong>What is next:<\/strong><\/p>\n <p>I like the game concept, and a lot of how the game plays, so I will be continuing on and adding more of my ideas to it. Overall I learned and enjoyed doing this competition, which should help me be better prepared in the future. Looking forward to the next competition.<\/p>\n <p><strong>Overall Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n <p>Humbled. I learned a lot about myself, and my programming style.
