Well, what can i say,

For many years i have felt i would never be good enough to get involved in such a competition, well for some reason this year brings about change and i couldn’t think of a more fitting end to the year than challening myself. For years i have been educated in Java, in college and i admit i was not very talented at it and further more lacked the interest (initially) to learn. Now saying that, i started learning HTML5 and JavaScript 3 months ago. After releasing my first game in JavaScript last week. I thought it would make sense to finally pull my head out of the sand.

I am going to be honest, i started this yesterday and put in about 3 hours tops, today i put in maybe 4 hours. I will be lucky to get the best part of this game done, but i will do my best. So far i have basic collision detection, user interactivity (takes user input), movement, intro screen and a game loop.

Areas that need to be worked on is, asteroid movement, improved collision detection and possibly levels and a game over screen.
