And now I’m going to respond to the time management lecture I’m giving myself in my head.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, 4 hours was a lot of time to spend on drawing a head that’s going to be shrunk down to pixel art. Yes I know there are only 17 hours before I have to get this thing published. Yes I know coding isn’t done.<\/span><\/p>\n

But you know what? That was all necessary. I had no idea what this game was going to look like before now, and now that I know, the minimum viable art is going to come together very quickly. This look will influence the tone of the game and the feel of the game. This little chibi swirly-haired man man defines the game. And those other 7 or 8 directions I went in and then abandoned? They are useful too. They define what the game isn’t. <\/span><\/p>\n
