Well there has been some progress in terms of artwork. Working on the pixel art now. I initially wanted to use Paint.net but I changed my mind and now using Allegro sprite editor. Pretty good piece of software. Still quite a lot has to be done. Here is a small screenshot of the game’s splash screen.
