Impact OK?
Rule 4 says: All publicly available libraries and middleware are allowed.
Does that include engines you must purchase such as Impact? If we can use Impact and the like, what about including source code? Do you just include your source and not the Impact stuff?
Anyway, thinking of doing it… Would use either Flash/AS3 or JS/Impact – may depend on the theme too.

If anyone in the public can buy it, it’s publicly available. You include your source code, not any proprietary source code that you don’t have permission to redistribute. But your game has to run — ie, a compiled binary + *your* source code.

Absolutely, “publicly available” includes both free and commercial software! You have to share only the code you write yourself during the compo, not code that is part of a library or engine.

Well, that clears a few things up.
