I fail…shame on myself…No More!!

Unfortunately I have to say that I failed… again. Getting a clear idea and making a level design of the game took too much time that I anticipated. I still don’t finish the level where the game will display, also the tiles aren’t finished,  I don’t have any sound or music and the only game mechanic working is the movement of the player…so almost nothing.

Even worse, thanks to my work (an office work for my college degree…yeah :/…), I can’t keep developing the game for the Jam. So it’s a checkmate.

Lately, I have been feeling low for the constant failures here: On LD#24, I didn’t do anything at all. Also I didn’t take part of LD#25 for the same…I was uninspired. But, on January I made a game by myself in 17 hours on the GGJ. I was amazed myself for such feat!! Still, I didn’t keep doing other games or at least polishing the games I have made, even for the sake of experience…

Maybe it’s because of my work that I can’t take my time to make games. I also end too tired for it. Maybe it’s the people close to me (specially my mother) who keep tell me to go to the safe route: work on another thing, make some money, and after that, you can do whatever you want. Valid, but I will go out of the road if I do that. Or maybe it’s me who keep putting obstacles saying myself “Too much work”, “Too tired”, “I’m bored”, and so on.

But still, one of my dreams is to support myself from this, making games and selling them to all the gamers. Also, another dream is to manage my own time, specially on work. I hate to wake up early an go to work. I always get late! For this I will have to do something. It’s time to change…radically. For the sake of my dreams.

Anyway, I will play your games, some of them looks awesome.

Good luck!! And more important, success to all of you!!

Universally true good advice: Don’t listen to your mother. 😉
