Usually we can’t always make what we made up in our minds, but do not give up. Try to tone down the expectations and strip away some game elements. A simple game can every bit as fun as a complex one, they’re just different. There’s still plenty of time

hey, just put the code-y-tech-ie stuff away for a bit and make some pixels or sounds or craft some ideas. I’ve fallen into the trap of tech-fatigue/too much tech focus many times, tech makes one gray and sleepy inside (at least that’s what I’ve experienced)… let the ideas lead the tech, and keep it simple as possible (that’s what I’m trying to tell myself as well right now ;P )
