{"author_name":"gotkube","cat":"LD #26","comments":[],"epoch":1367190240,"likes":1,"metadata":{"p_key":"43548","p_author":"gotkube","p_authorkey":"0","p_urlkey":"79186","p_title":"Sputtering","p_cat":"LD #26","p_event":"LD26","p_time":"1367190240","p_likes":"1","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":null,"us_name":null,"us_username":null,"event_start":"1366934400","event_key":"16","event_name":"LD26"},"text":"<p>Approaching the last 24 hours in my first LD Jam, I&#8217;ve learned a few things:<\/p>\n <p>1 &#8211; I underestimated the amount of work involved in writing something from-scratch with a 72hr timeframe.<\/p>\n <p>2 &#8211; No matter how much you think you know something, there&#8217;s always more to learn, and better ways to do things.<\/p>\n <p>3 &#8211; Anything worth doing right is worth putting the time into.<\/p>\n <p>I doubt I&#8217;ll have anything resembling a &#8216;game&#8217; 24hrs from now, though what I\u00a0<em>have<\/em> written so far is turning into a foundation on which future projects can be built on.<\/p>\n <p>This was my first attempt at anything resembling a game in many years, so I didn&#8217;t have any expectations beyond simply doing my best and seeing it through, which I will continue to do, likely far beyond the LD26 Jam deadline.<\/p>\n <p>This won&#8217;t be my last stab at LD.<\/p>","time":"April 28th, 2013 6:04 pm","title":"Sputtering"}
