{"author_name":"C.D Buckmaster","cat":"LD #26","comments":[],"epoch":1367187540,"likes":1,"metadata":{"p_key":"43603","p_author":"C.D Buckmaster","p_authorkey":"11300","p_urlkey":"79241","p_title":"Oh that\u2019s right, I\u2019m in","p_cat":"LD #26","p_event":"LD26","p_time":"1367187540","p_likes":"1","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":"11300","us_name":"C.D Buckmaster","us_username":"cdbuckmaster","event_start":"1366934400","event_key":"16","event_name":"LD26"},"text":"<p>I spent so much time trying to deciding whether or not to join, that I forgot to actually make a &#8220;I&#8217;m in&#8221; post when I finally decided to join.<\/p>\n <p>Anyway, my name is C.D Buckmaster and although this isn&#8217;t my first Ludum Dare, it is the first one where I&#8217;ve actually finished something.<\/p>\n <p>My game is made in Flash, and uses GraphicsGale for the sprites.\u00a0 It also uses the FlashPunk framework (thanks to Chevy Ray Johnston and Draknek) and a modified version of Noel Berry&#8217;s Advanced Platforming Engine.\u00a0 If I get sounds in before the deadline, they will most likely be made with BFXR.<\/p>\n <p>The game itself, &#8220;You can&#8217;t step out of my way so we must fight&#8221;, is a two-player, one dimensional, sumo wrestling game, where each player tries to push the other out of the line.<\/p>\n <div style=\"width: 646px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/dl.dropboxusercontent.com\/u\/26635718\/sumo.png\" width=\"636\" height=\"79\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Two proud warriors, if only they didn&#8217;t exist on the same vector, they could have been friends.<\/p><\/div>\n <p>As soon as I saw the theme, I thought about the prospects of making a game in only 0ne-dimension and quickly it became the only game I could see myself making.<\/p>\n <p>I&#8217;ll save the gameplay details for when I submit it so that I don&#8217;t repeating myself.<\/p>\n <p>-C.D Buckmaster<\/p>","time":"April 28th, 2013 5:19 pm","title":"Oh that\u2019s right, I\u2019m in"}
