Entry Submitted!

After scrapping my previous idea I worked another 8 hours and came up with my LD entry.

It’s admittedly pretty simple but I’m happy because not only is it my first LD game, but it’s also my first completed game ever. All from scratch (and with a lot of help from Construct 2).

Basically, when the room’s red is the only time you can move. When it’s white, the player is frozen.  The red blocks will kill you and they move around every time the color of the room changes. You need to reach the exit at the upper right corner of the level while carrying the blue block.

I think I owe my inspiration for that from the Atari 2600 game Adventure. The color scheme of the game is a tribute to Piet Mondrian.

The game (“Untitled”) is playable in any modern browser (arrow keys for movement so you’ll need a keyboard to play). I’m hosting it at the moment in my public DropBox: http://db.tt/ttfqul0C

Now, I think it’s time for a nap.
