{"author_name":"HeyChinaski","cat":"LD #26","comments":[],"epoch":1367076900,"likes":0,"metadata":{"p_key":"45041","p_author":"HeyChinaski","p_authorkey":"11211","p_urlkey":"80699","p_title":"Change of direction","p_cat":"LD #26","p_event":"LD26","p_time":"1367076900","p_likes":"0","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":"11211","us_name":"HeyChinaski","us_username":"heychinaski","event_start":"1366934400","event_key":"16","event_name":"LD26"},"text":"<p>I couldn&#8217;t get satisfactory car physics together. \u00a0I was looking like I&#8217;d have to spend the rest of the weekend hacking on it or switch to using a physics library to do it (which would take most of the weekend to learn). \u00a0I&#8217;ve decided to switch to something far less ambitious. \u00a0A side scrolling shooter.<\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n <p>The bad guys that you have to shoot are &#8220;The\u00a0minimalisers&#8221; and have turned part of the universe into a horrible, minimal line drawing. \u00a0You have to push back this &#8220;minimalisation&#8221;\u00a0by shooting them down.<\/p>\n <p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/2013\/04\/27\/change-of-direction-2\/screen-123\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-238162\"><img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-238162\" alt=\"screen\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/screen1-300x223.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n <p><iframe width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wUtVi5x6HWM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n <p>It&#8217;s a shame that I couldn&#8217;t get the driving game working, I suppose I need to learn more about that stuff some other time if I ever want to use the techniques in a Ludum Dare. \u00a0I&#8217;m happy that I&#8217;ll get something finished by the end of the weekend now though.<\/p>","time":"April 27th, 2013 10:35 am","title":"Change of direction"}
