This isn’t really clear, but I guess it would be an interesting thing to try if the technical and genre requirements aren’t too restrictive/out of my taste.

I guess “I’m in”

I’d be happy to clear anything up for you. What’s up?

Is the “downloadable package” a bundle of all the games from this challenge?

@RobProductions That’s what I want to do, yes. Each entry will include a link to the Ludum Dare voting page so we can get more votes out to the winners.

Sounds cool but unfortunately Unity exports with giant files and knowing me I wouldn’t want to have that kind of insane limit haha

For unity3d programers will can use webplayer build for small size of project. For example clean project will be less when 7Kb.

Higher difficulty means more fun, so I guess I’m in as well.

If this wasn’t my first LD I would definitely consider participating… Does this happen in every LD?

This all sounds pretty fun, minus the file size limitations. If you got rid of that requirement, I think that a lot more people would be interested in this.

Having less file size doesn’t necessarily mean you’re being a better coder. As Rob said above, some toolkits are just bigger than others, and that doesn’t make them inferior.

This sounds like Speed Hack. I miss Speed Hack. Unfortunately this Ludum Dare I am going to miss 8+ hours to spocial obligations, and will be working with a team who probably don’t want to worry about obscure technical/artistic specifications.

Hardcore, heh… sure, I can make a downloadable HTML5 game in 4MB… including 3.5MB of music. I’ll have to see about the tech/genre requirement though.

… “Windows or web entries only.” WHAT THE F**K?!

Really, it sounds like random “OS racism”. Most people will do Unity and people doing Unity almost only export into web (exporting as .exe will make it runnable via Wine at least).. so it’s impossible to run Unity web entries on Linux.

Wait.. Flash Player? Well, hopefully Flash as web entry. It will be cross platform then. I’ve seen some random flash games as .exe on the web :/
