I am still an university student and not anywhere close making a meaningfull contribution to the gaming world, so I keep learning and what is better for learning than LD?<\/p>\n <p>Thisis what I use:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Javascript\/HTML5<\/li>\n <li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rialgar.de\/LD26\/KeyCodes.js\">A neat array containing a keycode to char mapping<\/a><\/li>\n <li>If I want to go all 3D or use fancy shaders: <a href=\"http:\/\/threejs.org\/\">ThreeJS<\/a><\/li>\n <li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sublimetext.com\/\">Sublime<\/a><\/li>\n <li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gimp.org\/\">Gimp<\/a><\/li>\n <li><a href=\"http:\/\/audacity.sourceforge.net\/\">Audacity <\/a>(maybe)<\/li>\n <li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bfxr.net\/\">BFXR <\/a>(maybe)<\/li>\n <li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.earslap.com\/projectslab\/otomata\">Otomata <\/a>(maybe)<\/li>\n <li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sketchup.com\/\">SketchUp <\/a>(maybe)<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>I do NOT use any game engine or game creator, because there is none I know and none I would like to try right now, maybe another time.<\/p>\n <p>Other things that help me:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Tee or Coca Cola<\/li>\n <li>A roommate who really likes to cook and is a walking encyclopedia<\/li>\n <li>A keyboard (one that can make music)<\/li>\n <li>chips\/chocolate\/ice cream<\/li>\n <li>all those nice websites detailing webstandards\/APIs\/coding patterns, because seriously, who learns these by heart in our times?<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>To enjoy LD, I follow simple rules:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Have fun!<\/li>\n <li>Start simple, have something presentable early and work forward from that!<\/li>\n <li>If stuck: switch task! (eg, instead of coding draw\/compose something, design levels or just take a break)<\/li>\n <li>Take breaks to doodle around\/read other peoples posts\/test other peoples games!<\/li>\n <li>Sleep regularly, sleep depreviation ruines the time you win by staying awake!<\/li>\n <li>Have fun!<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>Lets make some games!<\/p>","time":"April 26th, 2013 3:58 pm","title":"I am in again (7th time)"}
