Well, I’ve spent the last couple days frantically trying to learn enough stuff to feel confident enough to enter the compo…and I’m still not sure whether or not I’ll give it a go.<\/p>\n
I was working on a basic platformer, just to get some experience with collision, animation, and other basic stuff. I feel like I know enough that I want to get my hands dirty, but not enough that I could actually produce something in the compo….Now, I’m not saying I’ll be sad if I can’t turn out a good game, but I will be a little sad if I try to enter and can’t manage to put out anything. I’ll feel like I wasted my time. (I’m sure I’ll learn stuff, making it worth the time, but still…)<\/p>\n
Anyway, I figure I’ll just plop the extremely (I can’t really stress that enough) simple test I made here in case anyone wants to take a look and see if they can give me some tips (trust me, I could do a lot of the organization better. Especially my animation stuff, which I threw together very quickly just to see if I could get it working before heading to bed).<\/p>\n
