Hi, I’m FlashDave this is my first Ludum Dare, I wanted to wanted to say hi. A little intro, I’m 29 and a full time Flash AS3 programmer from the UK. I have used unity and javascript.<\/p>\n
My plan of attack for this weekend is<\/p>\n
1) getting ready (before announcement)
\n – Organize Bookmarks for relevant sites and tools
\n – review short list : I jot down some wild ideas so when the announcement comes I have something to fall back on.
\n – Moodboard : I collect some images that I think will be useful to kick start my creative juices
\n – Get my tools ready, installed and play around with those I’m unfamiliar with.
\n – Streaming, I have to decide if I want to stream or timelapse. I may jump between the two depending on lag.<\/p>\n
2) Planning
\n – Environment, Unity or Flash
\n – Sketching
\n – Find the fun
\n – Identify that attention grab factor
\n – Plan my Time<\/p>\n
3) Design
\n – Characters, sketch main guys
\n – Level, sketch the environment theme
\n – Game mechanics, prototype it
\n – Sounds, Grab something basic, if I run out of time it can stay.<\/p>\n
4) implementation
\n – Prototype mechanics
\n – get assests in
\n – Make UI reusable if I decide to scrap stuff the UI can be reused (i.e mute)
\n – get sound early on<\/p>\n
