I noticed this too and wondered what would stop someone from using some scripts (say, bash+wget) to spam the up/down/kill link for their favorite theme. I actually took advantage of the links when I accidentally down’d a theme I liked. I hit “back” to get the theme key and then fetched the “up” link for that key twice (once to neutralize the down vote, once to register my up vote). I don’t know if there’s something server-side to mitigate this or if we’re just on our honor not to be a-holes about it.

If someone (with awesome knowledge) can explain me if this actually works, I will make a better one for next LD voting.
