Can you use the Cryengine 3 in ludum dare?

hello! I was wandering, can i use the Cyengine 3 in ludum dare? and what would i do about the source code? give them the project file?

And yes, any game engine is allowed.

At one point the wording was you were only allowed to use engines that were freely available to anyone or had a free/trial version that allowed for publishing games. The current wording is “All publicly available libraries and middleware are allowed.” I doubt Cryengine 3 counts as publicly available.

Yes, you can, all engines allowed and you can just share the project, that’s what people using Unity and Gamemaker do.

In fact, I think Unity pro(and other commercial engine) should be forbidden. I haven’t seen any entry using it, so it’s not a big problem…

Hey,

Another question: are games using the provided assets (that come with Cryengine ) like sounds, particle sprites, sounds, models, textures etc eligible for the dare or would this count as premade content and force the entry to the Jam section?
