Seriously. Even the line if(FlxG.camera.exists) would give me a null reference error that pointed to something about updating the cursor &#8211; which didn&#8217;t make any sense, since I was set to use the system cursor. I was able to get rid of the problem by manually instantiating the camera, but I quickly found that none of the parameters I gave the constructor would do ANYTHING different at all! Not to mention that the camera wouldn&#8217;t follow the character even after a call to FlxG.camera.follow(). Researching the problem, I found a guy who told me to use FlxG.follow(), but that function doesn&#8217;t appear to exist. What a big help that was \/sarcasm.<\/p>\n <p>tldr; I&#8217;ve been banging my head against this same stupid problem for almost 12 hours. I&#8217;m re-writing the code bit by bit to see if I can replicate or perhaps solve the issue, but I&#8217;m not very optimistic about finishing anymore.<\/p>","time":"December 15th, 2012 10:19 pm","title":"Day 2, Midnight: 21 hours remaining"}
