OMG! AAAARRRGGHHH!!! … ah I feel soooo much better now. I’ve fixed my problems and now I can show you all my first screenshot. This is nowhere near playable yet but I can move the selection box around and the blue ship will move upon clicking.

Things seem to be moving more smoothly now. Hopefully I can keep this up and post more regularly.
