Here&#8217;s the rundown on what happened after my last post:<\/p>\n <p>I took a deep breath, then lied down for a short nap.<\/p>\n <p>Then I played with Spot, the resident cat.<\/p>\n <p>About 2 hours went by, then I decided it was time to get serious: I downloaded Flixel, looked up a few tutorials, and started working through them. I now have a blank black field on which my Intrepid Illithid character can walk &#8211; and walk he does! It&#8217;s not much in the grand scheme of the competition, but now that I&#8217;ve broken the code barrier (turns out ActionScript is something between Java and C++, both of which I know) I really feel like the project is going somewhere.
