{"author_name":"singpolyma","cat":"LD #25","comments":[],"epoch":1355572740,"likes":1,"metadata":{"p_key":"49386","p_author":"singpolyma","p_authorkey":"17593","p_urlkey":"85062","p_title":"Hiding in the darkness","p_cat":"LD #25","p_event":"LD25","p_time":"1355572740","p_likes":"1","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":"17593","us_name":"singpolyma","us_username":"singpolyma","event_start":"1355443200","event_key":"14","event_name":"LD25"},"text":"<p>My idea for my entry is that you&#8217;re a mastermind who has just sucessfully kidnapped the boy king. \u00a0Which was a great plan. \u00a0Except that now there are horsemen and goats (and maybe a HERO) searching the darkness for you. \u00a0Do not get too close to the wandering searchers, or they will take you out. \u00a0You have no physical defenses beyond sneaking and hiding (you&#8217;re a mastermind after all, not a soldier).<\/p>\n <p>I&#8217;ve made pretty good progress so far. \u00a0The game is playable and I&#8217;ve even got some really hobo graphics I scratched out myself. \u00a0I decided to do this one using Functional Reactive Programming with Elerea in Haskell. \u00a0I&#8217;ve been a Haskeller for over a year now, but had not really got into the whole FRP space yet, so this seemed like a good reason to do so, and I think it has worked out pretty well so far.<\/p>\n <p>Progress, (and code if you want to play with stuff) <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/singpolyma\/LudumDare25\">on Github<\/a>.<\/p>","time":"December 15th, 2012 6:59 am","title":"Hiding in the darkness"}
