Winning themes: How do you feel about them? Predictions?
Alright, so the top categories (so far) are:
- End of the World
- Construction
- Time Loop
- Outer Space
- Parallel Worlds
- Salvage
- Chaos
- Growth
… the other ones don’t really come close.
So, what do you think? Are any of these sparking inspiration?
Personally, I think that ‘end of the world’ is going to win out of sheer number of votes. Plus, people love coming up with apocalyptic scenarios and survival kits, and I think it will make an interesting topic given that we all are supposedly gonna die before my birthday (the 23rd). All LD aside, I can see myself making games that combines multiple themes, like an end of the parallel worlds or outer space construction.

I would be psyched for ‘end of the world’.

“End of the world” and “Construction” are kind of juxtaposed. Ironic they would both be top picks.

Personally I am really hoping that “End of the world” isn’t picked. There are enough apocalyptic game already, so it will be hard to do something unique. I think that Time loop could be a fun challenge, or growth.

My favorites out of these are parallel worlds and time loop. Salvage could be cool too. The rest I don’t really care for. I’m also really hoping end of the world doesn’t win, for the same reason Mechanoxx pointed out.

I agree with Mechanoxx and Ryland (and downvoted End of the world for this reason) but yeah, on the other end, it could be funny because of the context.

I kind of wish there was a theme named “Apocalypse, but not zombies” or maybe “apocalypses that never have been done”

Growth was already the theme of LD #7
