A post mortem implies that the game is dead, but from the comments I&#8217;ve got the game has potential and any thing with potential is very much alive!<\/p>\n <div style=\"width: 299px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/163678\/15698-shot0.png\" alt=\"Bear Selection(Web)\" width=\"289\" height=\"239\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bear Selection(Web)<\/p><\/div>\n <p><strong>The Good<\/strong><\/p>\n <p>+Stuck to the\u00a0original\u00a0concept, a sandbox world where creatures evolve and the player can only indirectly interact with them.<\/p>\n <p>+Mutations can be clear to see, creatures start moving differently or go really fast<\/p>\n <p>+Images are a million times better than I imagined MS paint could produce.<\/p>\n <p>+Getting my brother to draw the creatures, allowed me to work on coding creatures larger than a pixel and some fresh direction in how to implement the images into the game.<\/p>\n <p>+The world is dynamic, creatures can eat foliage and starve if none is left.<\/p>\n <p>+The\u00a0sparkline\u00a0graph\u00a0library\u00a0made it easy to add a population graph:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/omnipotent.net\/jquery.sparkline\/#s-about\">http:\/\/omnipotent.net\/jquery.sparkline\/#s-about<\/a><\/p>\n <p>+The similar syntax between C and Java Script made learning a bit less painful.<\/p>\n <p>+Web based, so that it is\u00a0accessible\u00a0to more people.\u00a0Surprised\u00a0to find it even runs on android browsers!<\/p>\n <p><strong>The Bad<\/strong><\/p>\n <p>-No collisions between creatures and creatures, or creatures and tiles leads to fish walking on land!<\/p>\n <p>-No audio of any kind<\/p>\n <p>-Pace is a bit slow and the\u00a0limited\u00a0interaction can make it boring.<\/p>\n <p>-Didn&#8217;t have time to add terraforming or player\u00a0activated\u00a0events like\u00a0meteorites\u00a0or forest fires.<\/p>\n <p>-First two days were mostly spent learning object\u00a0orientation<\/p>\n <p>-HTML-5 Canvas means not supported by IE<\/p>\n <p>-No credits, no loading screen<\/p>\n <p>-No entities like, eggs, blood splatter or fire.
