The game itself might have been an okay idea, but I figured I would need to do a lot of work just to get it playable, and that scared me.<\/p>\n <p>There will be future LDs (where I will perhaps have a better plan going in), so I&#8217;m going to try to keep it a bit simpler. I&#8217;m going to make a platform\/puzzle hybrid. Basically, it&#8217;s pretty simple platformer. You play the level, although finishing it is optional. Then you get to choose from one or more &#8220;positive&#8221; rule changes. Something like &#8220;your character jumps higher&#8221;. You need to be able to finish the level with this rule. Once you do, you will now need to choose from a list of &#8220;negative&#8221; rule change (like &#8220;you can only jump three times&#8221;). All the rules you have picked in the past affect the levels in the future.<\/p>\n <p>First things first: get the platformer going. This should be pretty simple.
