I’ve got my idea to start with. You play as a sapient flan fighting sapient kittens to save his flan village.

Evolution, you ask? Well, it’s a post-apocalyptic world where life has recovered without humans. Domestic animals and gelatinous desserts have evolved to sapience and their society as at the medieval stage.

So, again, the player character is a sapient dessert. No one said that the evolution has to happen during play, after all! 😀
