Jetpack Pixel is born!!
After 15 hours of work, I have a test build available 
For the little story this game is made with Processing and has no pixel art at all. I used only primitive rect, circle and quads to make it. Funny thing that the main character is a pixel 😉
I just lost 2 hours (so I’m at 17 hours actually) trying to publish a Java applet but it doesn’t seem to work. Getting frustrated.. However the game can be tested in the executable jar form here. Any feedback is of course greatly appreciated.
It is a single mouse button game. Press the mouse button to fire the jetpack. Watch out your fuel level. Touch the ground/building top to refill.

Still on the list:
-figure out how to make Applet deployment work (any help appreciated!!)
-title screen
-music (planning to generate sounds with sfxr and then used them to create some chip tune loops using Fruity Loops)
-balancing
And only 13 hours to go aarrggg..!!
