A card game was taking shape while I tried to get some sleep before the start. “Tiny world” was not one of them. So.. Start over.

This morning I was thinking about the theme and what it means to me. I am a literal kind of guy so I came up with this as a setup for my game. I don’t know what the mechanics will be yet, but this text will provide the player with context:

Standing in an open field, it is easy to think of the planet below you as an enormous, static object. Falling down, it is hard to imagine “missing it”. But in reality, the planet is just a tiny, tiny spec of dust in the vast infinite of space. And it is moving at incredible speeds, it takes it just 0.034 seconds to move 1 kilometer along it’s journey around the sun. If you were a meteor hurtling towards this tiny world, you would find it very hard to image “hitting it”.

I plan on doing an HTML5 with Canvas solution, using jQuery, jCanvas and a very generic web/js framework I have set up in advance.

Now I have to go think of some mechanic.

April 20th, 2012 10:55 pm
Inspiration"}
