(un)finished

SO, I ran out of time so badly, and I can’t even call my final product a game, more like a technical prototype really. It’s filled with bugs, about one minute long to play, and had story and gameplay that made up in about five minutes. Oh wait… it didn’t even have any gameplay XD. Nonetheless, I’m happy that I have something to show, and hoping that I would do better in next LDs. This is certainly a fun experience :)

Well, at least I had a passable art (there’s a bug in the animation tho). There’s a lot of bad planning in my part. Despite having never done the genre before, I attempted to make a quite complex platformer. Finally got stuck in double jump and cloud platform, and the code turn into unmanageable mess. In the middle of the second day I decided to rewrite and redraw the game into something simpler, aka make a fresh new one. It’s a decision that I should have taken earlier. Unfortunately in the remaining time I can’t get very far, what with a lot of time wasted in playtesting and debugging (lot, lot of them).

See you all in another LD!

Hey, don’t give up – there’s still time to submit it to the Jam. The Jam also allows you to get people to do some stuff for you, like music for instance.
