The problem with that was half to almost all of the first day was spent getting the map generation stuff up and running, a lot of which was stuff I took for granted. Stuff which probably wouldn&#8217;t have even been\u00a0considered\u00a0cheating if I had generically set it up beforehand.<\/p>\n <div style=\"width: 648px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/ludum-dare-22\/?action=preview&amp;uid=7169\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/87574\/7169-shot1.png\" alt=\"you would think the image title and the image caption fields would be enough. They claim a picture is worth a thousand words, but NO! we need THREE DIFFERENT THINGS to type text into to go alongside it!\" width=\"638\" height=\"479\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Out of all the games entered with the name &quot;The Cheese Stands Alone&quot;, this one is the best. I haven&#039;t played any of the other ones, but I know they are there, and it is safe to assume that this game is better than them.<\/p><\/div>\n <p><a title=\"Out of all the games submitted here with the name &quot;The Cheese Stands Alone&quot;, mine is going to be the best\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/ludum-dare-22\/?action=preview&amp;uid=7169\">You should go check it out!<\/a><\/p>\n <p>I already got a laundry list of stuff I want to implement to extend the game&#8217;s and it&#8217;s difficulty: (although a lot of it is mainly cosmetic)<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Limit total # of total moves allowed by stage(included with this would be to possibility\u00a0separate\u00a0the # of blocks you are allowed to add from the # of blocks you are allowed to remove from a stage)<\/li>\n <li>variable stage sizes<\/li>\n <li>A more graphical HUD, with cool buttons and everything<\/li>\n <li>a victory notification before going to the next stage (who wouldn&#8217;t like a little fanfare?)<\/li>\n <li><strong>more levels<\/strong>, difficult ones if at all possible (suggestions are very much welcome, puzzles are not my forte)<\/li>\n <li>level select (this feature can only be warranted \u00a0through the preceding bullet point though)<\/li>\n <li>once I get a better &#8216;feel&#8217; for how the game operates, maybe extend the predatory chain further, or possibly throw in some\u00a0auxiliary\u00a0items (e.g. dog bones, cattails, etc)<\/li>\n <\/ul>","time":"December 19th, 2011 1:06 am","title":"Submitted my game one hour early, submitted this post this six hours late."}
