My first game jam, my first Ludum Dare. I got something finished, even if it&#8217;s not really a game. But it&#8217;s kind of fun and I learned a lot.<\/p>\n <p>Some things I&#8217;ll do differently next time:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Think about the game itself first. Not establish a style and don&#8217;t have any engaging gameplay.<\/li>\n <li>More planning \u2013 less wild \u00a0hacking of sourcecode. It&#8217;s a mess!<\/li>\n <li>In-Game Level Editor! Spend too much time.<\/li>\n <li>Less caffeine. Just makes you nervous.<\/li>\n <li>Lua is very good. But look for a good IDE!<\/li>\n <li>Use tools more frequently. Wanted to do the music in Logic Pro \u2013 haven&#8217;t used it in years, so I did all music\/sounds with <a href=\"http:\/\/supercollider.sourceforge.net\/\">SuperCollider<\/a>.
