Also made some of the player stuff\u00a0 more generic, so now it should be possible to add objects that, um, act more generically.<\/p>\n <p>With respect to the generic stuff, I&#8217;ve also made it have velocity and target velocity (which is actually harder than acceleration, but a bit nicer).<\/p>\n <p>But wait! Just in the nick of time (read: about a minute after the 24 hour mark), I got jumping working! And by jumping, I mean it actually detects that you&#8217;re on the ground, as opposed to having a magic jetpack.<\/p>\n <p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/2011\/12\/17\/24-hour-mark-got-jump-terrain-collision-working\/screeny186\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-93639\"><img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-93639\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/screeny186-550x527.png\" alt=\"you do realise those slopes work too, right\" width=\"550\" height=\"527\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/screeny186-300x287.png 300w, http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/screeny186-550x527.png 550w, http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/screeny186.png 772w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n <p>What&#8217;s there:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Object-to-terrain physics, and not just on the object bottom; there&#8217;s a total of <strong>4 pixels checked<\/strong>!<\/li>\n <li>Gravity!<\/li>\n <li>You can jump!<\/li>\n <li>You can&#8217;t jump in midair!<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>What&#8217;s not:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Still need to work on level scrolling.<\/li>\n <li>Needs more objects.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>What might be there:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Due to me fixing a VDP-related race condition, I think I&#8217;ve made it able to load levels that aren&#8217;t 16 level tiles wide.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>So here&#8217;s <a title=\"ooh! pick me! pick me!\" href=\"http:\/\/gm.64pixels.org\/stuff\/ld22\/gm-ld22-dump002.zip\">development snapshot #002<\/a>.
