So I’ve got the preliminary design done for what will be my first LD entry! I had a few ideas that would work nice with the theme, but decided to pick one that’s actually been on my mind for a bit. It’s an interactive fiction game, though, so it’ll be pretty different from the other entries, I imagine. Looking at some of the posts (and past entries), there are some cool graphics for these contests, but an artist I am not :). Since a screenshot wouldn’t be terribly exciting (and I don’t have any code written yet, anyway), here’s a (poor quality) picture of the design:<\/p>\n

It’ll be pretty short, and I have the interactions mostly hammered out. Next I’ll be going through the design on a whiteboard, making sure it’s structured how I want it to be. It shouldn’t take too long to code it up after that. I’m not expecting to get much points in the audio and graphics categories :). I mostly just want to get my feet wet and get a game entered.<\/p>\n
