No one here ends up with a game they are completely satisfied with, that just not the idea. 48 hours isn’t enough time to polish, develop, and deploy a game that you are completely happy with. Being happy with your work as far as time spent, however, is a different matter altogether.","spam":"N"},{"author_name":"rationalthug","time":"December 15, 2011 12:08 am","epoch":1323925680,"text":"Nope, I get it, I just didn’t express myself well. The idea is to meld the fast, prototype-oriented nature of the competition, with the idea of iterating over the game idea from a 10,000 foot view. So, no, I won’t be obsessed with polish, etc., just with having a game that has all its parts, even if those parts are rough and uneven.","spam":"N"}],"epoch":1323918240,"likes":0,"metadata":{"p_key":"62772","p_author":"rationalthug","p_authorkey":"509345","p_urlkey":"98545","p_title":"Iterative development. I find this way of developing tremendously helpful in general. Too many applications, in my opinion, games or not, feel unfinished or end up missing out on UI\/UX opportunities because the developers got caught up in something that seemed like the most important thing at the time, but wasn’t.<\/p>","time":"December 14th, 2011 10:04 pm","title":"Iterative development.
