I do believe that I shall participate in this event
I’ll be participating with any luck 
My birthday is on the same day as Ludum Dare, so it might make things a bit interesting. I’ll be doing the socialising and the like on the 15th so I don’t lose too much time for Ludum Dare. Gotta prioritise.
I’ll be using the following:
Language: C#
Library: XNA
IDE: Visual C# 2010 Express
Graphics: Paint.NET, Photoshop CS5
Sound: sfxr and Audacity
Music: Microphone, or musagi. On that note, can someone recommend a good way to make music? Preferably free? And easy for a music-noob to use?
I shall be making a timelapse as well.

yes. for music you could try to use wolfram tones. click on one of those pixel images to get midi music, until you find one you like. you have to send that midi track to your mail adress to get it

Wolfram tones doesn’t work anymore, AFAIT. No export. And you aren’t legally allowed to use the music anyway (check the license).
