But if all goes according to plan, I&#8217;ll be competing in LD21 in less than 24 hours. For my first event, I&#8217;m setting my goals appropriately: I just want to finish something before the deadline <img src=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/simple-smile.png\" alt=\":)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><\/p>\n <p>As with all my recent projects, I&#8217;ll be using my unencumbered custom game engine based on C, SDL, OpenGL, and Lua (the <a title=\"Radius Engine\" href=\"http:\/\/radius-engine.sourceforge.net\/\">Radius Engine<\/a>) and my personal menu\/layout\/key-binding Lua code available <a title=\"here\" href=\"http:\/\/avsn.git.sourceforge.net\/git\/gitweb.cgi?p=avsn\/avoision;a=tree;f=Data;h=9c30a35f982bcfc770f505e6b35d145928864850;hb=HEAD\">here<\/a> (of course, no game logic will be reused for the contest). Graphics will be created with The GIMP and sounds with sfxr (or FamiTracker if I can&#8217;t figure out sfxr).<\/p>\n <p>Thanks to the Ludum Dare community for starting this great tradition.
