What’s your coding soundtrack?

I’m putting together a nice mix of music for when I’m trying to blitz through some Python, here’s what I’ve got so far:

  • Chemical Brothers – 2006 album is nice and powerful, new 2010 album is much smoother
  • Boards of Canada – For those smooth reflective moments
  • Bloody Beatroots – For when I need that dubstep wobble

What are y’all planning to listen to?

Edit: two nice songs so far posted in #ludumdare, my shoutouts to

I’ve been using StereoMood.com recently for radio. Pandora is great but I have to use a proxy since I’m outside the US. GrooveShark.com is good for building playlists if you know what bands/song to search for.

Boy, that’s a broad question, really. Anything without lyrics so I’ll probably add FireSlash’s suggestions into the top of the playlist 😛 Might I suggest adding the phenomenal soundtrack of Anachronox to that category? Especially the theme music for Tensil is remarkable.

I really shouldn’t be surprised how many people use video game soundtracks to help make more video games. They’ve become self replicating!

Well, recently I’ve been listening to stuff from Anamanaguchi, Chromelodeon, and The J Arthur Keenes Band. Might be too much distraction to code though.
