Me too

I have never done a Ludum Dare before and, really, have not made a game before. I’ll be trying to use Unity (which I haven’t used before). Unless someone has a better idea of what would be a quick to learn choice to making a 2D scroller for a person with C# experience. Cheers.

You might want to look into XNA. Unity is a well built engine, and is a great start for C# developers, but its certainly worth looking at your options.

Game Maker is a viable alternative, plus it’s drag+drop and very fast to pick up. Although Unity already is a good choice.

Hrmm.. I have played with XNA and found it to be usable but the amount of work saved by a program like Unity is hard to go past. I will check out Game Maker – cheers for the suggestions. Keep ’em coming :)
