These are both worked out to be separate includes so I can provide the source for these ahead of time if this level of basecode is a problem. Both are pretty generic (the sprite engine isn&#8217;t even completely done, it&#8217;s done enough to display sprites but the map manager isn&#8217;t done so it has to be implemented in client code anyway).<\/p>\n <p>Here&#8217;s what the sprite engine looked like as of the last MiniLD:<\/p>\n <p><a href=\"http:\/\/xerol.org\/h\/img\/2117\"><img src=\"http:\/\/xerol.org\/h\/v\/2117\/3screenshot.png\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n <p>And the 3D engine just displays a pregenerated map right now:<\/p>\n <p><a href=\"http:\/\/xerol.org\/h\/img\/2048\"><img src=\"http:\/\/xerol.org\/h\/v\/t\/2048\/832\/n4.png\" border=\"0\"><\/a>  <a href=\"http:\/\/xerol.org\/h\/img\/2049\"><img src=\"http:\/\/xerol.org\/h\/v\/t\/2049\/833\/n5.png\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n <p>Both of these engines are done in <a href=\"http:\/\/freebasic.net\/\">FreeBasic<\/a> which is a FOSS compiler with Basic-style syntax that produces GCC-compatible builds.<\/p>","time":"August 20th, 2010 2:25 am","title":"LD18 Plans"}
