Time to declare
Hi,
My name is Mateusz and I am (actually, I’ll officially become one in October) a university student, majoring in computer science. This is my first Ludum Dare, but I have some previous experience with game making challenges – I took part in two PyWeek challenges:
- PyWeek #9 – solo entry – http://pyweek.org/e/Tenshee/
- PyWeek #10 – group entry – http://pyweek.org/e/SWGC/
I’ll be using:
- python/pygame or c++/SDL or… AGS. Something suggests me to use the third platform or something even less popular among LD participants. Any interesting and simple ideas?
- GIMP for graphics, depending on the theme it may be supported by hand-drawn sketches
- Audacity and TuxGuitar for the audio
I’d like to make a time-lapse video, but it seems I’ll be hopping between Windows and Ubuntu during my development, so it may be difficult. About the time spent – I’m not going to lock myself up in the basement for the challenge, so I don’t think I’ll spend more than 10 hours during the whole challenge. I’m gonna try coding something for the compo, but I don’t feel the need of making it. There is still a possibility that I’ll just play Simutrans and meet with my friends all the weekend.
