Gawker for the mac is a nice free app for recording timelapse videos. It will record screenshots every X seconds, and then compile them into a MOV file. I’m doing a test over several hours at the moment, but I think it will be fine.

Mac users can also use the wiki bash script with some modification. If someone is interested i can add the osx scriptto take screenshot.

If I recall, the maximum resolution gawker can record at is 640×480, which would limit its usefulness for us.
