You have to make them yourself during the contest. The only &#8220;preexisting&#8221; sounds that are allowed are music samples like drums, used to make your music. OpenGL\u00a0 2D gfx with Gosu (<a href=\"http:\/\/libgosu.org\">http:\/\/libgosu.org<\/a>).<\/p>\n <p>Gosu is available for Ruby and C++. Good stuff.<\/p>\n <p>On top of that I&#8217;ve worked on my own framework this summer called Chingu ( <a href=\"http:\/\/github.com\/ippa\/chingu\/tree\/master\">http:\/\/github.com\/ippa\/chingu\/tree\/master<\/a> ) which builds on Gosu.<\/p>\n <p>Chingu adds game states, easier input handling, animation, text and particle classes and a bunch of other useful stuff.<\/p>\n <p>Graphics: Inkscape and probably TileStudio ( <a href=\"http:\/\/tilestudio.sourceforge.net\">http:\/\/tilestudio.sourceforge.net<\/a> ) for pixelart \/ animations.<br \/>\n Music: Reaper ( <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reaper.fm\">http:\/\/www.reaper.fm<\/a> ) &#8211; amazing DAW. And a bunch of VSTs on top of that.<br \/>\n Soundeffects: most likely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freesound.org\/\">http:\/\/www.freesound.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n <p>\u00a0<\/p>\n <p>I have no idea why I got doublespaces between some words.
