{"assets":[],"author_link":"author\/news\/","author_name":"news","cat":"LD #12 - The Tower - 2008","categories":["LD #12 - The Tower - 2008"],"comments":[],"epoch":1218453180,"event":"LD12","likes":0,"metadata":{"p_key":"76288","p_author":"news","p_authorkey":"0","p_urlkey":"284051","p_title":"Ludum Dare 12 Done \u2013 Game Voting Now","p_cat":"LD #12 - The Tower - 2008","p_event":"LD12","p_time":"1218453180","p_likes":"0","p_comments":"0","p_status":"WAYBACK","us_key":null,"us_name":null,"us_username":null,"event_start":"1218153600","event_key":"89","event_name":"LD12"},"source_url":"2008\/08\/11\/ludum-dare-12-done-voting-now\/","text":"<p>Hey everybody,<\/p>\n<p>The 48 hours of Ludum Dare 12 have come and gone.\u00a0 I\u2019m pretty sure we\u2019ve collected all the entries by now.<\/p>\n<p>The final count: <strong>57<\/strong>+1 entries<\/p>\n<p>I say \u201c+1\u201d because we did have a team that decided to join us and make a game this weekend.\u00a0 You can check out their game here:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/2008\/08\/10\/super-tower-smashup-the-disqualified-game\/\">super-tower-smashup<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As for the other 57, you can check out the final posts and a lovely arrangement of screenshots here:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/category\/ld12\/?tag=final+final&amp;mythumb_nav=1\">Image Grid and Voting<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the next 2 weeks it\u2019s voting time (until August 24th, see clock).\u00a0 All entrants that submitted a game can rate the other entries.\u00a0 If you didn\u2019t submit a game, feel free to leave a comment in the respected final posts.<\/p>\n<p>Also, trophies.\u00a0 If you feel a game deserves a special mention, something silly, something tasteful, feel free to award them a trophy.\u00a0 Anyone can give trophies, so if you didn\u2019t get your game in but feel an entry deserves a special mention, go ahead and give it a trophy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u2013 \u2013 \u2013 \u2013 \u2013 \u2013<\/p>\n<p>As for everyone else, our <strong>next major compo<\/strong> will be in <strong>December<\/strong>.\u00a0 Date TBD.<\/p>\n<p>Coming up sooner than that, we\u2019ve started doing monthly Mini LD compos.\u00a0 A Ludum Dare veteran can choose to host a month.\u00a0 They host can pick a theme, and choose to change\/try out some new rules.\u00a0 Like our previous \u201cunofficial compos\u201d, they are not judged.\u00a0 You can learn more about it, or sign up to be a host on the Wiki.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/wiki\/\">http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/wiki\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Of course, I\u2019d like to take this opportunity (and a few more) to shamelessly promote Mini LD #3 hosted by me (PoV).\u00a0 It\u2019ll start <em><strong>Friday September 5th<\/strong><\/em>, but I\u2019ll <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>really<\/em><\/span> be abusing the rule change privilege.\u00a0 The first big change, I\u2019ll be announcing the <strong><em>theme<\/em><\/strong> on <em><strong>Monday September 1st<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The theme is different than our usual Ludum Dare fare, and could certainly benefit from a couple days to think about and plan what you\u2019ll be doing.\u00a0 Then on the weekend, you do it.\u00a0 The nature of the compo is a little more forgiving than usual, but a weekend for most is the perfect time to do it.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re up for a very different Ludum Dare, stay tuned.<\/p>","time":"August 11th, 2008 11:13 am","title":"Ludum Dare 12 Done \u2013 Game Voting Now"}
