I posted something this weekend I wanted to share. <\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"http:\/\/msm.runhello.com\/?p=574\">I released the tools that I\u2019ve been using for the last year to make games.<\/a><\/b> (Well, they were technically on BitBucket all along, but now I\u2019ve released compiled and packaged-up versions so you don\u2019t have to spend days fighting with CMake!) The tools are based on Ivan Safrin\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/polycode.org\/\">Polycode<\/a> and let you make 2D or 3D games in Lua. I used this framework to make my LD23 entry, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/ludum-dare-23\/?action=preview&amp;uid=4987\">\u201cBreathe\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I realize there\u2019s a TON of options for game development out there, but if anyone\u2019s interested in giving this a shot, I\u2019d be curious if you actually manage to make anything with it <img alt=\":)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" src=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/icon_smile.gif\"\/><\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/msm.runhello.com\/local\/pc\/poly_700_example.jpg\"\/><\/p>","time":"August 13th, 2012 8:21 pm","title":"Polyconsole: Here\u2019s some game dev tools"}
