You know, with all the really sad and\/or dull forfeiting posts I\u2019ve done, I thought I\u2019d make one a bit more\u2026 Fun.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s October here in Ludum Dare,<\/p>\n

And all men toll away<\/p>\n

For \u2019tis the time to make some dough<\/p>\n

And stop sitting \u2019round all day.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

They make their games with great delight<\/p>\n

though sometimes things are rough<\/p>\n

It\u2019s what they do, \u2019cause through and through<\/p>\n

Indie devs are tough.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

So what becomes of Puzzlem00n;<\/p>\n

that young chap from \u2019round the bend.<\/p>\n

Simply put, why is it<\/p>\n

that his work has come to end?<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sure, sure, we\u2019ve seen it before,<\/p>\n

he\u2019s abandoned many a project.<\/p>\n

From MiniLD\u2019s to a warmup that time,<\/p>\n

he\u2019s the attention span of an insect.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

But for the October Challenge,<\/p>\n

Oh, that mightiest challenge,<\/p>\n

You\u2019d think he\u2019d have more of a chance.<\/p>\n

And yet, no code has been written, he\u2019s only been sittin\u2019,<\/p>\n

Without hope of getting financed.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

He had a partner to work with,<\/p>\n

A great one at that,<\/p>\n

Who worked very hard with the writing,<\/p>\n

The game\u2019s concept was great, set in a far future date,<\/p>\n

But progress has been unexciting.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of course, perhaps he\u2019s not quite at fault.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s become a freshman in High School<\/p>\n

and with all the homework and teachers and grades\u2026<\/p>\n

Bro, it\u2019s just really not cool.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

At first, ol\u2019 Puzz trudged on<\/p>\n

His teammate Wonckay at his side<\/p>\n

Believing they could get it done<\/p>\n

If only they really tried.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

But the GDD took weeks to craft<\/p>\n

And in truth, it still ain\u2019t finished<\/p>\n

There was too much outside work to do<\/p>\n

And hope had soon\u00a0diminished.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

In truth, our heroes could probably make their goal<\/p>\n

if they sacrificed their grades<\/p>\n

But eventually, M00n realized<\/p>\n

How much all would cascade.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

So, he fired his friend, and let it all end,<\/p>\n

Cancelling the game,<\/p>\n

For the greater good and all that jazz,<\/p>\n

Himself taking all the blame.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Perhaps Puzzlem00n hasn\u2019t reached<\/p>\n

The goal he made this month,<\/p>\n

But he\u2019ll never be a no one<\/p>\n

Even without triumph.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

He\u2019s made three games,<\/p>\n

He\u2019s learned great names,<\/p>\n

But most importantly of all<\/p>\n

He\u2019s made some pretty neat friends here.<\/p>\n
