(technically, they will just swap out the image resources.) I\u2019ve got the basics down, \u00a0and have a pretty interesting pipeline:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 13px\">Levels are made in html\/css using a web layout program I\u2019ve been working on.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The game imports the level, and wraps all the objects with Box2D<\/li>\n<li>I (hopefully) have enough time to code some enemies\/interactive objects that get set up based on elements having various classes in the level file.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m using html5 for all this. \u00a0 This is the first time i\u2019ve used Box2D, it\u2019s amazing but I wish I would of experimented with it a bit earlier to speed things up. \u00a0At the least, having a good physics engine is making my platformer behave from the start. \u00a0My last entry I spend the majority of the last day trying to fix collision and control glitches.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and here\u2019s my hero all rigged up in blender. \u00a0Let\u2019s see if I have time to animate and render him into a sprite sheet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/blog02.jpg\"><img alt=\"blog02\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-243696\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/blog02-274x300.jpg\" width=\"274\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>","time":"April 28th, 2013 6:36 am","title":"Getting Somewhere","title_was_empty":false}
