No custom templates \u2013 I\u2019ll start by remembering how to do a basic Flixel Hello World and then moving up from there. This choice should hopefully encourage me to break my previous comfort zone, and eliminate the hassle of having to prepare a perfectly vanilla \u201cstarting template\u201d from pieces of old projects.<\/p>\n<p>So, to reiterate, in summary, I\u2019ll be using only the Flixel framework, and no pre-made personal code to begin with.<\/p>\n<p>A bit more info regarding my tools, just for fun:<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll be using FlashDevelop with the Flex compiler, writing in AS3<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll be making all of my graphics from scratch, most likely pixel art, and probably mostly in Photoshop CS2 and maybe Pickle for its spritesheeting capacities.<\/p>\n<p>Haven\u2019t decided where I\u2019ll make\/get my sounds and music yet, but songs will most likely be sequenced\/synthesized from scratch.<\/p>\n<p>Some things in the previous 3 lines may be subject to change, but we\u2019ll see.<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to the madness!<\/p>\n<p>J<\/p>","time":"April 26th, 2013 4:49 pm","title":"I\u2019ve decided to participate in the Ludum Dare 26 competition.","title_was_empty":false}
