So!\nThis time it\u2019s going to be a very interesting experiment for me. Why? In all previous LD\u2019s I made a game using Flash. I wrote code in FlashDevelop in Windows 7 and used Paint.NET, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash etc. or graphics.<\/p>\n

But now I don\u2019t use Windows anymore. I switched to Linux Mint<\/strong> and I am very VERY happy with it!<\/p>\n

Why I dropped windows? Well.. I was pretty much happy with Windows 7 for about last 4 years. But soon it\u2019s going to loose support.. Now you even can\u2019t buy it from microsoft website. Now MS forces Windows 8 which is complete disaster for me. I tried to use it several times and I came to conclusion that I just can\u2019t. I feel too frustrated about user experience in it. I can\u2019t understand why do they did that with Windows.. I thought OS should gain functionality and usability\u00a0eventually but they just did opposite.<\/p>\n

Anyway.<\/p>\n

I tried Fedora and Ubuntu before. I liked them both, but I couldn\u2019t manage to make them proper working tool for me.. But when I tried Linux Mint with\u00a0Cinnamon environment.. It just FITS. Like I used it all my life! It is SOOO handy! And beautiful. So minimalistic, smooth and simple! I feel all power of my computer with it.<\/p>\n

And.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m going to create my first HTML5<\/strong> game! I never tried it before. I use JavaScript in my work (I am a webdev) but not much (because I\u2019m more like backend) so it is real challenge for me. I wrote some code to start: engine.js <\/a><\/strong>it will help but still I\u2019ll need to write a lot of code right in the middle of LD.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m going to write the code in Sublime Text 3<\/strong>. I always wanted to code game in it! I\u2019m going to use Chrome<\/strong> to test and debug my code. I\u2019m going to use GIMP<\/strong> for graphics and Audacity<\/strong> for audio editing.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s going to be really FUN!<\/p>\n
